What someone wrote on Reddit: "An absolutely beautiful old book scent, lots of iris, birch tar and woods. If you’re a fan of library scents, paper accords, this is a must try. (Think English Major by Sorce but darker, more sophisticated and far less sweet.)"

This one is built for you on paper. The opening is a strong, sharp vegetal green accord with galbanum as the main player — light and wet but extremely long-lasting and powerful. Reviewers consistently reach for the same language you use about Coriandre 39: green peppers, tomato stalks, ivy — bitter, almost acrid at times, like biting into a raw quince. One Fragrantica reviewer literally describes it as standing by the bell pepper section of the produce section, with a synthetic coldness and a kind of vintage plastic smell. That’s your jalapeño observation from Coriandre 39, just pushed further and made weirder. The important caveat is what it becomes. It isn’t really a tuberose soliflore — at most tuberose-adjacent in the early hours. Afterwards it turns into an iris-y woody floral infused with guaiac wood, wood smoke, and clean orris. So there’s a floral middle phase that some people find difficult. But it moves through a potent mix of violet leaf, leather, and tobacco into a dark tuberose mixing with a brighter resinous note — that leather-tobacco-resin base is squarely in your wheelhouse. The floral here isn’t your enemy; it’s the vehicle for the green-plastic weirdness you’d be drawn to. Sample priority: must sample. Confidence: high.
